ABOUT US

During his time as Tax Partner at a multinational accountancy firm, Joe found that much of his time was spent mitigating the poor advice given to clients by unqualified or inexperienced advisers. He saw that good quality, flexible and truly independent advice was sadly lacking in this field. He recognised that he could provide what was missing and this led to the establishment of Braemar Frankland.

Joe originally qualified as a Quantity Surveyor working on various development, regeneration, infrastructure and remediation projects, before specialising in capital allowances and land remediation relief in 2000. He is a Chartered Taxation Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and sits as a regional board member with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).

When he is not following his passions of distance running, mountain biking and triathlon, Joe coaches junior football and occasionally gets to spend some time with his wife and four children.

OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kaley has spent her professional career working within ‘Big 4’ accountancy firms and smaller
local accountants. Her work has involved advising a host of clients on both accountancy and
taxation matters from sole-traders and HNWI through to national companies.
She is a Fellow with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
and a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIoT).

As a firm, Braemar Frankland are different to others as we seek to ‘bridge the gap’ between
accountants and specialist tax advisers and Kaley’s dual qualifications ensure we can offer
this specialist service to every client.

Kaley is responsible for extracting the relevant information from the accounts and ensuring
every claim Braemar Frankland prepare is fully reconciled to a client’s accounts. When
required, Kaley will also assist a client’s accountant in ensuring that the claim is incorporated
within the relevant tax computation in the most appropriate way, a service often overlooked
by most other firms.
